Words Have Power. Share Your Stories at YSAC.

IMG_0952 Throughout the week Kindergarten students dyed and painted their fabric messages of peace and kindness lovely shades of blue! These messages will be tied to the outermost bamboo border of each of the three panels for the final artwork. Six grade students will have the opportunity to experiment with traditional indigo dyeing and will be adding to the kindergarten students’ collection of messages.

Join us Friday evening, 6 – 9 PM, at the Yellow Springs Arts Council’s opening for the “Art for Social Change Show” to see some of the students messages on display! We invite you to share your stories about bullying and standing up for others. As we continue to learn that words have power, stories from community members will help fuel our reflection and choice to become peacemakers who show empathy and integrity
