Busy with the Blues
Today kindergarten students started adding color by dyeing and painting the fabric messages of kindness and peace. Mrs. Housh reviewed the power of using our words to stand up for ourselves and others. We’re thinking about questions such as, “Is there such a thing as a bully, or are there just people who show bullying behavior?” and “What is the first step to standing up for yourself or a friend?” We believe that people aren’t mean; but, sometimes people decide to show mean or hurtful behavior. This is an idea that takes some consideration! We all have the choice to show empathy and kindness. Mrs. Housh and Mrs. Paul want to empower all the students at Mills Lawn to make the choice to use words and show compassion and understanding.
